We believe tea has a calming effect on the mind. It also contains lots of antioxidants including polyphenols, which are very healthy and good for your body. The philosophy behind hlé sparkling tea was to capture the good qualities in real tea by cold-brewing the whole organic tea leaves. This brings out the mild taste of tea without the bitterness while preserving the natural antioxidants.
The cold brewing technique takes time – but it’s worth the wait.
Steeping the tea for more than twenty-four hours during the cold-brewing process results in better extraction abilities than using hot water. The cold water extracts more slowly and doesn’t change the original flavor substance as much and therefore it releases the full flavor of the tea and all the antioxidants, without it becoming bitter and tannic.
All of our teas are of course organic and free from bad pesticides.
